As a NEXT colleague you and your eligible family members can access benefits to help maintain your health and wellbeing.  The Aviva app can help with nutritional advice as well counselling services.  It also provides additional options to seek medical support from digital GP appointments to getting a second opinion.  All of these services are free and are accessible with the app, Digicare Workplace+

Annual Health Check

This service is available for Next employees on an annual basis. Simply download the app,  select services and request a Health Check, you will be asked to take some measurements at the point of requesting a test box.  You will receive a test kit to your home, complete the test, post it back and your report will be available to you within the app (3 - 5 days after your sample has been received to the lab). You can arrange a follow up consultation with a GP to discuss report findings.  You will be contacted with any major concerns. Benefit for Next employee only.


Nutrition Support

A trained nutritionist can provide personalised advice on optimal eating plans and how to change their relationship with food and break bad habits.  Consultations are 30 minutes. Employees their spouse or partner and children from age 12 up to the age of 18, or 21 if in full time education can benefit from the service.  Limited to 6 sessions a year, shared between all eligible people.

Mental Health Support

Sessions with a qualified therapist, advice and personal treatment plans can be arranged which may include CBT therapy.     Employee plus their spouse or partner and children from age 16, up to the age of 18, or 21 if in full-time education can benefit from the service which is limited to 6 Mental Health Consultations and an additional 6 bereavement sessions in each policy year, shared between all eligible people.

2nd Medical Opinion

This service provides access to a suitable UK specialist to provide a 2nd opinion on a diagnosis.  


Employee plus their spouse or partner and children up to the age of 18, or 21 if in full-time education can benefit from the service which is limited to 2 Second Medical Opinions in each policy year which can be shared between the employee, their spouse or partner or eligible children

Digital GP Appointments

It allows employees and their families access to a Digital GP, for non emergency medical situations.  The service is available between 8am and 8pm.  Consultations are 20 minutes.  Employee plus their spouse or partner and children up to the age of 18, or 21 if in full-time education can benefit from the service, unlimited sessions are available with this service. 

Free Menopause Support

The service covers access to an information hub, a symptoms scorecard assessment with up to 6 FREE 30 minute sessions with a menopause nurse to discuss symptoms, lifestyle changes and treatment options.

Who do I contact if I have an queries on Aviva Digicare+ Workplace?

For technical support contact Square Health Customer Services or if you cannot use the Digicare+ workplace app contact Square Health on 0333 023 2730 to access some of the services. 

When can I use the Digital GP Service?

You can book to see a Digital GP consultation - 7 days a week between 8am and 8pm.  Appointments are designed to compliment existing NHS treatment.  It offers access to clinical advice and guidance in non-emergency situations. 

Are medical records and personal details secure within the app?

Yes, customer data is secure at every stage of the journey.

How does the second opinion service work?

You can ask for a second medical opinion from a doctor through the app following an initial diagnosis.  It's another expert view of the diagnosis and treatment recommended for your medical condition.  There is no obligation for you to act on the second opinion.

How does the bereavement service work?

The bereavement support page within the app provides a number to call to book additional sessions per policy year on top of the mental health consultations allowance.  It provides digital support or optional over-the-phone assistance.   Service can be accessed following the death of a close family member. 


How does the Annual Health Check work?

Via the app you request a test kit, this is delivered to your home address.  You have 90 days to take the test and return to the lab in the pre-paid self-addressed envelope.   This service is for employees only not family members 

How does the nutrition consultation work?

You have access to 30 minute consultations with a trained nutritionist, which can be shared with your eligible family members.  Your are entited to 6 sessions a year, shared with the eligible people within your family. 

How long does it take to get the Health Check results?

Normally 3-5 days from the blood sample being recieved at the lab you will be informed of your results.

Who can benefit from the Mental Health Support sessions?

You are entitled to 6 sessions per year, shared between any eligible family members.  This does not limit your use of the other employee assistance programme services that Care First offer. 

What does the Health Check actually check for?

The test checks for 20 different health markers to spot problems early on:  Diabetes, cholestrerol, liver etc.  Each employee receives a personalised health report about their test results.

What is covered within the Mental Health Support?

Sessions are offered with a qualified therapist, advice and personal treatment plan can be created which may include CBT therapy

How are the Health Check results made available?

You will be able to see the results of your Health Check report available within the app.  You can arrange a follow-up consultation after your Heath Check assessment. 

Does the App need personal data?

Yes, square health can't legally issue a prescription, referral or fit note without a name, address, DOB, accessible email address and contact number.  You must provide these details in the app once you have registered and accept terms and conditions. 

Can I continue to use the 'Digital GP App' for virtual GP appointments?

The stand alone Digital GP app is no longer available.

Everything that was previously accessible on the Digital GP has switched to DigiCare+ workplace. Please delete the Digital GP app.  Any appointment made previously using Digital GP will be honoured.  All future appointments need to be made using DigiCare+ workplace 

Which locations within Next are eligible to use the services of Digicare+ Workplace?

You need to be a permanent resident of Great Britain, Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands, or the Isle of Man to use these services.
