Whether you’ve been affected by breast cancer or just want to find out more we want to share why checking your chest/ breasts is so important. Breasts can change for many reasons like menopause, pregnancy and breastfeeding, puberty or even during periods. So, if you check them regularly, you’ll be able to spot any new or unusual changes that should be checked by a GP
Some facts:
2,300 women under 40 are diagnosed with breast cancer every year.
Men can get breast cancer too. 370 men each year are diagnosed.
In the UK, breast cancer is less common in women from South Asian, black, Chinese and mixed communities. But they face lower survival rates.
Visit your GP if you notice these changes
We’re here to make sure you don’t forget to check regularly. Sign up CoppaFeel!'s free text reminders and see how to build chest checking into your monthly routine.
My Breast Cancer Story
For Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we sat with Sara Cook in the Life At NEXT weekly podcast. Sara, Head of Complaints shares her inspiring story of resilience after a breast cancer diagnosis. She approached her diagnosis with incredible strength, and her journey from treatment to running her first marathon is a testament to what's possible. Thank you, Sara for sharing your story and helping us raise awareness for everyone at NEXT.
CoppaFeel!'s ‘Feelings’ campaign features Robyn, Dhvani, and Amber, who were all diagnosed with breast cancer between the ages of 19 and 26. Together they share the range of feelings they faced from the moment of diagnosis through to how they feel today. From feeling a lump, to feeling too young. From the surreal shock of a diagnosis, to fear, and ultimately to self-gratitude for being vigilant and catching it early.
By feeling your chest regularly, you can get to know what’s normal for you and see your GP if anything feels off.
Kudzai CoppaFeel! Boobette TALK
We were pleased to collaborate with the Employer Brands Team, Lingerie Team, Charities and CoppaFeel! for our first Breast & Chest FEST. Our aim was to encourage colleagues to check their breasts and chests.
We gave Head Office colleagues the opportunity to attend a TALK to learn more about breast cancer. Kudzai a CoppaFeel! Boobette gave the TALK sharing her personal story and information about CoppaFeel's founder Kris. Also included were breast cancer myths, facts, symptoms and guidance on how to self-check. We were especially grateful to share CoppaFeel's fantastic FREE text reminder service. See below to sign up.
